You have cool new cat and you don’t want a cliché name like Schrodinger. Don’t worry! Wise Kitten got you covered. There are many other great physics cat names.
I don’t know why but I know many physicists and like many scientists the first name that come to their minds when naming a cat is naturally Schrodinger but this became such a common name for cats that a few of my friends asked me for unique physics cat name suggestion lists.
The first thing that came to my mind while compiling the list was the famous physicists but then I thought of some physics terms that were just amazing as cat names. Therefore this list of physics cat names is divided into 3 categories: Female Physicist Cat Names, Male Physicist Cat Names and Miscellaneous Physics Cat Names.
Before you start reading the list, I have a couple of tips for you. While reading the list, note the names you like because there will be more than one name you will like so after you finish reading the list you may compare the names in your notes and decide which name suits your cat best.
Also before you directly choose Einstein for a male cat or Marie Curie for a female one, think of your cat’s looks or even character and try to decide if that name fits its personality. In the end you don’t want to end up naming your kitty Edison while you have a brilliant Tesla.
Male Physicist Cat Names
There are so many brilliant male physicists, it is hard to choose among them. So instead of picking the top 10, I borrowed the result of a poll to determine “All-Star Physicists” by Physics World magazine which was also published by The American Physical Society (APS) in APS News in February, 2000. I know there are many other amazing male physicists such as Hawking or Anaximander and don’t worry, I added their names to the Miscellaneous Physics Cat Names category. So the name suggestions based on the mentioned poll are as follows:

Female Physicist Cat Names
When I saw the “All-Star Physicists” list, the first thing I thought was “there are no women in this list”. So I thought “it is not an all-star list, it is just a male all-star list.” Therefore I prepared a top 20 female all-star physicists list against it. And since I know most of these women are under-appreciated or not appreciated at all, I am not only giving their names as physics cat name suggestions, I am listing their names as they are.
